The one-year sentence handed down by Magistrate Judge Paul G. Levenson included the requirement the first six months be served in home confinement.
The first incident of 'unwanted sexual contact' occurred within 30 minutes of the plane's departure in row 22, where Dhillon and a victim were seated. 
Dhillon reached over and caressed the woman on her thigh and in her groin area, causing her to yell out, 'This man just groped me.' 
The unidentified woman swatted his hands away and waited in the aisle for several minutes until a flight attendant was able to come over to help. 
The woman's husband exited his seat, causing another woman - the second victim - to leave her seat as well. 
As she waited in the aisle, Dhillon grabbed the second woman's buttocks and groin area, which the first victim's husband witnessed. 
The second victim told investigators after the fact that Dhillon seemed as though he was 'not all there' while on the flight.
